Torrents sharing using LimeWire Basic

Torrents have become the buzzword in the file sharing arena, although P2P clients have not lost ground yet. The advantage of a P2P client is that you can connect to a specific computer through its lPAddress. One of the most popular P2P clients is LimeWire.
Limewire basic is the free version of this application, so while using it you might find an annoying window advising you to upgrade to ‘LimWire Pro’, which is the shareware version. But for most needs, the freeware would do just fine.
You can use any of the search options provided according to the type of file you are looking for. These options include ‘All Types’, ‘Audio’, ‘Images’, ‘Video’, ‘Documents’, and ‘Programs. The ‘All Types’ option can be used if you need to find multiple file formats for the key word you have entered. For specific search, you can select any of the remaining five options. Once you select the specific find option, the menu under it changes accordingly for a precise search. For instance, if you select the ‘Documents’ option, the menu allows you to enter the ‘Title’, ‘Topic’, ‘Author’, ‘License Type’, and ‘License’ for the document. You can also get directly connected to the computer of a LmeWire user if you enter his/her IP address under the direct connection tab. Once this is done, you can browse through the LimeWire shared folder of the other computer. Once you enter the string for a particular search, a tabbed window displays the search. The first few results are usually more appropriate to choose as those files would be present in more host computers, resulting in faster downloads.
