In Internet Explorer or Firefox You can insert RSS feeds like normal links to your Favorites list. If the website concerned has an RSS Feed, the browser displays it as an orange-colored logo. You can click on the logo to subscribe to the feed.
On a personalized homepage With iGoogle, Netvibes, Pageflakes, and many other service providers, you can set up a website that displays what you want. You can set up RSS feeds for services such as the weather in your city and eBay auctions. Many websites offer such services. Most of the time, you have to just click on a button that is called ‘Insert Feed’ or something similar. You can also decide the number of messages you want to be displayed.
Vista provides the option of an RSS Reader on the desktop of your computer through the Sidebar. You can display all feeds which you have previously inserted in the Internet Explorer on the desktop. The Sidebar is also available for XP, but you will have to download it from the website www.thoosje.com. Another option is the tool KlipFolio, which is similarto the Sidebar.
