How to Protect Mobile phones from viruses

This will help prevent other Bluetooth - enabled devices from finding your phone f(unless you grant them the necessary permission) and will therefore help protect your phone from viruses that spread over Bluetooth file transmissions.
• When accepting applications sent via Bluetooth, or opening MMS attachments, be aware, just as you would when opening an e-mail attachment on your PC. Ensure that the application or attachment comes from a known source, and be wary of opening files that have unfamiliar text attached to them, even if they originate from someone you know.
• Only download content from a trusted source. Trusted sources may include operator portals and other well- known brands that offer adequate protection against viruses and other harmful and malicious software. Be aware though that fraudulent users may also be able to fake the appearance of a trusted source.
• Consider using mobile anti-virus software from f- Secure, Kaspersky etc..
• Contact your phone manufacture if your phone behaves erratically. A firmware restore should solve your problem but you will need to back up your data first. Install the applications afresh.
