HCL Laptop Z35 with touchscreen writing functionality

The 12.1 in screen size tablet with good hardware configuration HCL manufactures pretty good value for money desktops and laptops. Running at 2Ghz based on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the 135 features 2GB RAM, 160GB Hard disk drive and a DVD writer. The 12.1 in Touchscreen TFT is pretty decent and provides good viewing angles. The small form factor of the machine makes the Z35 a portable tablet PC to be carried around. The graphics chipset is based on intel GMA 3100 that is pretty good for office applications and internet tasks. However, you will not be able to play high-end games on this machine.The Z35 also features an integrated I.3-megapixel webcam that lets you participate in video chats and conferences.
The tablet features three USB ports, one on the right hand side and the other two at the back. Besides this it also houses a 7-in-i SD memory card slot at the front with Express Card Slot, FireWire Port,VGA Out and audio video ports.There is also a LAN port and an in-built modem.On the wireless front, the Z35 boasts Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The black coloured Z35 uses too shiny plastic body that will put off some buyers. Considering the
tablet would be targeted at business users and people willing to spend some premium over a regular notebook, the shiny body looks cheap.

The touchscreen writing functionality and it worked fine. The obvious advantage of this over a conventional notebook is that you can scribble your thoughts directly when in a meeting or a conference with the included stylus.
Priced at Rs.47,490, we find this tablet is for people who want to have portability and do not care
much about the looks.
