The Xerox Phaser 6180 is an office use, color laser printer suitable for small and frequent print jobs. Powered by a 400 MHz processor, it comes with an auto duplex feature for double- side printing and network connectivity. It can print on a max paper size of up to 8. 5×14 in. The print quality that this printer gave was good with excellent clarity for both color and monochrome prints with distinct shades of black and grey. The feature that stands out in this printer is its speed. It was able to give us a speed of 25 full text pages per minute or 10 colorA4 size prints of a .jpg file. Another feature worth noticing was that the printer has a very silent operation making it office friendly.The 6180 is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS. An addition to this printer’s minimalistic
design-it has a small LCD on board which shows the ink levels of all four toner cartridges: cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, the printer status and other prompts. However manipulating the advanced features and controls of this machine can get a little frustrating to use with the tiny LCD display and fewer buttons. When
comes to its design, this printer doesn’t occupy much desk space but still manages to look a little bulky probably due to its height. It has one standard tray and a multi-purpose tray for loading paper and envelopes of different sizes. Added features like password-protected secure printing and watermarking for confidential docs are also present on this printer.
