OpenOffice is a complete office suite OpenOffice designed to rival the very expensive Microsoft Office family of programs. With a word processor, spreadsheet program, presentation maker and drawing utility, it might not be as refined as its more expensive counterpart, but it’ll get all your work done with relative ease.

OpenOffice could represent significant savings in software licenses for a large organization, but it’s tough to move away from something as familiar as Microsoft Office. Nevertheless it’s good to have an option, especially one that is interoperable with Office file formats. And it’s available for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux in more than 60 languages.
